PRODUCT PROFILE / Sensing & Perception

PX-FOOTRIX plantar force sensor

Exact model / version: PX-FOOTRIX

PaXiniProducts checked: Source-reported stage: Official listing; interface depends on selected option

Selected Product Technical Facts

  • Supplier-described role: plantar force sensing for robot standing, gait and ground contact. Robot-specific fit requires mounting and calibration evidence.
  • Page-listed parameters: Fx/Fy +/-1,000 N, Fz 0-2,000 N, resolution 1% FS, spatial resolution 1 cm, sampling 150 Hz, ultimate overload 300% FS, operating temperature -10 to 50 degrees C. The page lists IP67/68; this label is not independent certification evidence or proof that both ratings apply to every configuration. Starred figures are supplier laboratory data and actual behavior depends on the robot configuration.
  • Power: listed 3-5 V / 12 V, with 5 V or 12 V specified when using an adapter board. Confirm the chosen wiring and supply arrangement.
  • Interfaces: SPI is standard; UART / USB / RS485 require a purchased adapter board; I2C / CAN FD require customization. These are not six additional standard factory interfaces.
  • Mechanical and control boundary: rubber material is listed, but a single verified envelope, mounting-hole pattern, pinout, synchronization specification and official SDK/ROS2 revision are not supplied in the reviewed page. Obtain drawings and protocol files for the exact ordered arrangement.
  • Source: Official parameter page, checked in the approved record on October 10, 2026; no independent document revision is identified.

Company Integration & Application Notes

These are company-wide portfolio notes, not a specification shared by every product.

  • TORA DOUBLE ONE configurations: the official shop identifies P as omnidirectional and X as obstacle-crossing. The series page describes a maximum of 52 joint DoF and a minimum folded height below 60 cm for both configurations. These series-level/configuration-bound statements are not complete, separately verified P/X datasheets. Confirm the hands, base and software in the quotation. Series page, official shop.
  • Capture versus execution: PXCap III (650 g / 4 DoF) and PXDex III (836 g / 4 DoF) are a supplier-described capture/execution pair. PXCap Pro is a separate five-finger 17-DoF glove. The supplier's 1:1 physical-isomorphism and zero-mapping-loss descriptions require documentation and measured synchronization/mapping tests for the actual paired system. PXCap III, PXDex III, PXCap Pro.
  • Tactile-sensor generations: GEN4 lists 19 unique SKUs; GEN3 lists 12. GEN4 family parameters include 3-5 V, maximum output 1,000 Hz and minimum recognized force 0.005 N. These are not a verified full specification for every SKU. The 15 x 10 x 7 mm GEN4 DP-S1510-Superior must not inherit the family's as-low-as-2-mm thickness. The general claim of compatibility with the previous generation lacks a per-model mechanical, electrical, interface and firmware matrix; GEN3/GEN4 are not confirmed drop-in replacements. GEN4, GEN3.
  • Force/torque configuration: PX3Q lists several ranges, diameters and interfaces without a full option mapping; PX6D lists several diameters with a single range set. Obtain the exact part number, range, mounting flange, cable, protocol and calibration for the selected combination. Shared protocol labels alone do not establish robot-controller compatibility. PX3Q, PX6D.
  • Versioned evidence: the reviewed official pages did not establish formal model-specific datasheet/manual revisions, control-protocol documents or official SDK/ROS2 support versions for the highlighted products. Obtain these for the actual purchase configuration. Third-party GitHub code is not manufacturer compatibility evidence. Collection/check dates remain October 10, 2026; this English presentation is not a new technical verification.

Before You Evaluate or Order

  1. Confirm the ordered size, mounting, wiring and supply, distinguishing standard SPI from purchased UART/USB/RS485 adapters and customized I2C/CAN FD.
  2. Request calibration, pinout, synchronization and controller documents for the selected sole/robot arrangement.
  3. Agree representative standing, gait, overload and environmental tests; clarify the configuration and evidence behind the page's IP67/68 label.
  4. Confirm how the stated ranges, 1% FS resolution and 150 Hz sampling apply to the purchased configuration and intended contact loads.

These points require confirmation for your intended purchase and application. Missing public information does not imply a product deficiency.
