Selected Product Technical Facts
- Application and configuration: Official positioning covers research experiments, robot integration and human-robot interaction. The five-finger hand has 20 active degrees of freedom, four per finger, with thumb opposition and lateral finger motion. This profile concerns the non-tactile 2.2 (Beta) prototype. The website's Beta1 statement of fingertip peak force >=12 N is not a specification for this revision. 2.2 overview, Beta1 product page and footnotes.
- Source-reported specifications: Equipped mass 800 g, including soft components and output cables but excluding the base; the official breakdown also lists bare-hand mass 650 g and base mass 70 g. Reference dimensions are 180 x 80 x 40 mm, varying with posture; minimum grasp diameter 0 mm; control frequency 1000 Hz x 20 axes. The documentation describes backdrivable rotary direct-drive joints and MIT force-position hybrid control. It does not provide directly applicable 2.2 fingertip-force, whole-hand load or repeatability values. 2.2 overview.
- Mechanical integration: A wrist flange and installation drawings are supplied. The wrist flange or palm interface can attach to an arm or fixture; left and right palm interfaces are the same. Wrist load, bending-moment and impact limits, cable minimum bend radius, installation screw torque, and operating or peak power are not provided in the cited integration documentation and require confirmation for the intended setup. Hardware integration.
- Power and external interfaces: 11-13 V DC, nominal 12 V; supplied 12 V 20 A adapter; XT30 power and RJ45 100BASE-TX Ethernet. The documentation states that later versions will change voltage ranges and external interfaces. The prototype uses a static IP; the default Ethernet data port is 50001, subject to firmware and SDK confirmation. Overview, Hardware integration.
- Control and models: Wuji SDK provides Python and C interfaces for device discovery, status and joint commands. Official resources include URDF, MJCF and USD models and left/right assets. The 2.2 ROS2 description package is wuji_hand2_beta2_description; model loading and visualization do not establish ready-made control compatibility with arbitrary arms. Overview, Model integration.
- Version and tactile limits: Serial-number characters 5-7 identify 2.1 as A00 and 2.2 as A01. Firmware and SDK must match the release documentation. A separate tactile-data interface applies only to 2.2 hardware equipped with fingertip tactile sensors and the corresponding firmware/SDK. It is not a standard capability of every non-tactile 2.2 prototype. Version identification, Overview, SDK reference.
Company Integration & Application Notes
Entity roles remain unresolved. The directory links these brand products to the Shanghai company record for context. It does not establish that the Shanghai legal entity manufactures, sells or owns the intellectual property of each product. The Shenzhen entity's website and service responsibilities are recorded separately; confirm the contracting, manufacturing and after-sales entities before procurement.
Keep revisions separate. Wuji Hand v1, Hand 2.1 (Beta), Hand 2.2 (Beta) and Wuji Glove are not interchangeable technical records. The first-generation ROS2 driver, Hand 2 description package and glove teleoperation demonstration serve different purposes. None alone establishes third-party plug-and-play compatibility.
Documented integration paths: Hand 2.2 has wrist-flange drawings and models, the official glove-to-Hand-2 teleoperation demonstration, and version-specific SDK resources. First-generation ROS2 driver documentation is separate. Hand 2 hardware integration, Hand 2 overview, First-generation ROS2 installation.
Buyer checks still required: Match mechanical loads, supply, cabling, firmware/SDK and safety conditions to the exact unit. Hand 2.2's missing integration limits must be requested from the supplier; its current static-IP/default-port setup and future interface changes should be checked. Validate glove EMF tracking near metal. Official product display or a contact-to-buy link does not confirm stock, maintenance or delivery terms. These are source-based evaluation notes, not independent tests or compatibility certification.
Before You Evaluate or Order
- Confirm the hardware batch, non-tactile or fingertip-sensor configuration, and required firmware/SDK combination for the quoted 2.2 unit.
- Request wrist load, bending-moment and impact limits, cable bend radius, mounting torque and operating/peak power for your installation.
- Confirm host software and robot-control integration requirements; distinguish supplied model/description resources from a working control driver.
- Request revision-specific force, load and repeatability evidence under agreed test conditions, rather than using the Beta1 peak-force statement.
- Agree task acceptance criteria and how future interface or hardware changes will be handled during your integration project.
These points require confirmation for your intended purchase and application. Missing public information does not imply a product deficiency.
